Ruth and Boaz Marry
13So Boaz took Ruth, and she became his wife. And he went in to her, and the LORD gave her conception, and she bore a son. 14 Then the women said to Naomi, "Blessed be the LORD, who has not left you this day without a redeemer, and may his name be renowned in Israel! 15He shall be to you a restorer of life and a nourisher of your old age, for your daughter-in-law who loves you, who is more to you than seven sons, has given birth to him." 16Then Naomi took the child and laid him on her lap and became his nurse. 17 And the women of the neighborhood gave him a name, saying, "A son has been born to Naomi." They named him Obed. He was the father of Jesse, the father of David.
The Genealogy of David
18Now these are the generations of Perez: Perez fathered Hezron, 19Hezron fathered Ram, Ram fathered Amminadab, 20 Amminadab fathered Nahshon, Nahshon fathered Salmon, 21Salmon fathered Boaz, Boaz fathered Obed, 22Obed fathered Jesse, and Jesse fathered David.

THE BOOK OF RUTH: Redemption through the scriptures 5
Ruth 4:1-12
Boaz Redeems Ruth
1Now Boaz had gone up to the gate and sat down there. And behold, the redeemer, of whom Boaz had spoken, came by. So Boaz said, "Turn aside, friend; sit down here." And he turned aside and sat down. 2And he took ten men of the elders of the city and said, "Sit down here." So they sat down. 3Then he said to the redeemer, "Naomi, who has come back from the country of Moab, is selling the parcel of land that belonged to our relative Elimelech. 4So I thought I would tell you of it and say, 'Buy it in the presence of those sitting here and in the presence of the elders of my people.' If you will redeem it, redeem it. But if you will not, tell me, that I may know, for there is no one besides you to redeem it, and I come after you." And he said, "I will redeem it." 5Then Boaz said, "The day you buy the field from the hand of Naomi, you also acquire Ruth the Moabite, the widow of the dead, in order to perpetuate the name of the dead in his inheritance." 6 Then the redeemer said, "I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I impair my own inheritance. Take my right of redemption yourself, for I cannot redeem it."
7 Now this was the custom in former times in Israel concerning redeeming and exchanging: to confirm a transaction, the one drew off his sandal and gave it to the other, and this was the manner of attesting in Israel. 8So when the redeemer said to Boaz, "Buy it for yourself," he drew off his sandal. 9Then Boaz said to the elders and all the people, "You are witnesses this day that I have bought from the hand of Naomi all that belonged to Elimelech and all that belonged to Chilion and to Mahlon. 10Also Ruth the Moabite, the widow of Mahlon, I have bought to be my wife, to perpetuate the name of the dead in his inheritance, that the name of the dead may not be cut off from among his brothers and from the gate of his native place. You are witnesses this day." 11Then all the people who were at the gate and the elders said, "We are witnesses. May the LORD make the woman, who is coming into your house, like Rachel and Leah, who together built up the house of Israel. May you act worthily in Ephrathah and be renowned in Bethlehem, 12and may your house be like the house of Perez, whom Tamar bore to Judah, because of the offspring that the LORD will give you by this young woman."

Another Homemaker Moment!
This homemaker moment is less about what a great job I have done and more about how wonderful my husband is. On Wednesday I received a phone call from a laboring client. Now, Wednesday evenings is our official date night. Not much ever interrupts that time! Back to the phone call on Wednesday night! I thought seriously...your not due until March! I know, I know I can't predict or plan such things.
Phil and I continued with our date (kind of). I was on the phone with the woman in labor, my doula partner, and the Birth Works Director (Nurse Midwife). WHAT A DATE NIGHT!? My husband was clearly bothered by the whole situation. He understood my obligation, but again this has not happened on one of our date nights EVER!
Long story short. We wrapped our date up pretty quickly, picked up our kids from AWANA, and off I was to be with the laboring momma. It turned out to be a false alarm but good we went to the hospital the baby's heart rate was high and the momma was dehydrated. So at around 1:30A.M I arrived home from a thirty minute drive from the hospital.
As I walked in the door, much to my surprise all the laundry was neatly folded and organized by person and or location. The dishes were clean and put away and my whole house was sound asleep. That was a homemaker moment!
My moment is to simply say thank you to my husband (PUBLICLY)! The time spent cleaning and organizing the house during a difficult situation was greatly appreciated! I will build my home by using the word thank you more often!
I learned this from the experience. Our service to one another speaks to the glory of God. In my husbands service to me I was able to see how Christ serves and loves His bride even when her attention is divided. Christ will pursue His bride even when other things (even good things) distract her. That pursuit will always bring her back to Him! Thank you Lord for making yourself known to me in this way through my husband!

THE BOOK OF RUTH: Redemption through the scriptures 4
Ruth 3
Ruth and Boaz at the Threshing Floor
1Then Naomi her mother-in-law said to her, "My daughter, should I not seek rest for you, that it may be well with you? 2Is not Boaz our relative, with whose young women you were? See, he is winnowing barley tonight at the threshing floor. 3 Wash therefore and anoint yourself, and put on your cloak and go down to the threshing floor, but do not make yourself known to the man until he has finished eating and drinking. 4But when he lies down, observe the place where he lies. Then go and uncover his feet and lie down, and he will tell you what to do." 5And she replied, "All that you say I will do."
6So she went down to the threshing floor and did just as her mother-in-law had commanded her. 7And when Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of grain. Then she came softly and uncovered his feet and lay down. 8At midnight the man was startled and turned over, and behold, a woman lay at his feet! 9He said, "Who are you?" And she answered, "I am Ruth, your servant. Spread your wings over your servant, for you are a redeemer." 10And he said,"May you be blessed by the LORD, my daughter. You have made this last kindness greater than the first in that you have not gone after young men, whether poor or rich. 11And now, my daughter, do not fear. I will do for you all that you ask, for all my fellow townsmen know that you are a worthy woman. 12And now it is true that I am a redeemer. Yet there is a redeemer nearer than I. 13Remain tonight, and in the morning, if he will redeem you, good; let him do it. But if he is not willing to redeem you, then, as the LORD lives, I will redeem you. Lie down until the morning."
14So she lay at his feet until the morning, but arose before one could recognize another. And he said, "Let it not be known that the woman came to the threshing floor." 15And he said, "Bring the garment you are wearing and hold it out." So she held it, and he measured out six measures of barley and put it on her. Then she went into the city. 16And when she came to her mother-in-law, she said, "How did you fare, my daughter?" Then she told her all that the man had done for her, 17saying, "These six measures of barley he gave to me, for he said to me, 'You must not go back empty-handed to your mother-in-law.'" 18She replied, "Wait, my daughter, until you learn how the matter turns out, for the man will not rest but will settle the matter today."

INTRODUCING...GLAMOUR GLARE JEWELS!
This is my homemaker moment for this week! I am displaying my daughters business...Glamour Glare Jewels. If you would like to purchase a jewelry set that is shown below...please leave a comment or email the girls directly at glamourglarejewels@gmail.com This is a business owned and operated by three young christian girls. They have chosen to donate 5% of all profits to children in need of school supplies. We forget that children are in need of those supplies year round. Nichelle has been on a mission for sometime to help children with their crayon supplies. Last year (kindergarten) she would ask me week after week to purchase crayons. I couldn't for the life of me understand how she was going through so many boxes of crayons. Well I found later that she was giving them away to children who broke theirs, had worn them down, or had parents who couldn't afford to buy them. This year their business will help aid other children with crayons, paper, pencils, notebooks etc. So consider helping their business get off the ground.

Expressive Praise Dance Ministry
God has opened a door for me to bring Him glory through dance once again. This time were are gathering believers from different ministries in this city and ministering throughout the city. I'm now offering workshops for praise dance that others may experience this "expression of praise". As you view this video I want you to know that only three of the dancers have ever danced before. God is bigger than you think and praise is expressed in more ways then we think!
The words to this song are simply..."You loved me enough to die and set me free gave me an opportunity to have life more abundantly!" Remember Christ loved you enough to DIE that you may be FREE!

THE BOOK OF RUTH: Redemption through the scriptures 3
14And at mealtime Boaz said to her, "Come here and eat some bread and dip your morsel in the wine." So she sat beside the reapers, and he passed to her roasted grain. And she ate until she was satisfied, and she had some left over. 15When she rose to glean, Boaz instructed his young men, saying, "Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not reproach her. 16And also pull out some from the bundles for her and leave it for her to glean, and do not rebuke her."
17So she gleaned in the field until evening. Then she beat out what she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley. 18And she took it up and went into the city. Her mother-in-law saw what she had gleaned. She also brought out and gave her what food she had left over after being satisfied. 19And her mother-in-law said to her, "Where did you glean today? And where have you worked? Blessed be the man who took notice of you." So she told her mother-in-law with whom she had worked and said, "The man’s name with whom I worked today is Boaz." 20And Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, "May he be blessed by the LORD, whose kindness has not forsaken the living or the dead!" Naomi also said to her, "The man is a close relative of ours, one of our redeemers." 21And Ruth the Moabite said, "Besides, he said to me, 'You shall keep close by my young men until they have finished all my harvest.'" 22And Naomi said to Ruth, her daughter-in-law, "It is good, my daughter, that you go out with his young women, lest in another field you be assaulted." 23So she kept close to the young women of Boaz, gleaning until the end of the barley and wheat harvests. And she lived with her mother-in-law.

HOMEMAKER MOMENTS!
It's Friday...time for the homemaker moments. Ladies don't forget to share your moments with others. I find it very encouraging to read how the Lord is working in your life to build your home. Lots of ideas come from these moments. You can click on title to go to Angie's blog the originator of Homemaker Moments!
Here are my moments...
This week was rough because I had to work through some really hard things with my children. Okay moms let be honest. You know how, we understand that our children are foolish, sinful, and will do things wrong in our mind. But in our heart we feel they can do no wrong? There was a situation an old one but I just found out about it. My kid was the rotten child. And I found out in front of another adult. Oh, how my heart sank to the ground! My child foolish...couldn't be...but it was! I was thankful that my child told the truth even with the knowlegde of consiquences. We have taught our children that we don't expect them to be perfect and we know from the starting block they will get it wrong. That is fine, but we encourage them to run to Jesus! Repent, Believe, and turn from sin then fall at the feet of Jesus. So here it was...the rubber hitting the road. Can I in this frustrating and disappointing moment display what we have taught?
Praise God! He gave me the strength to be firm, discipline, instruct, forgive, and love. I took that child to Christ. It was awesome at the end. Note, I said at the end, because getting to the end was really rough. My child said to me Christ is the only thing good in me. I thought okay you are on to something! Then I went on to share that you are correct. At the same time those who the Holy Spirit of God dwells in are made righteous and good. Child, you will error and fall short of God's glory daily. He knows that and choose you anyway. It is He who is perfect and He dwells in you, so rejoice and receive the forgiveness of God. Don't bind yourself with a bondage that was not given to you by God. This is how I talk to my kids. If they don't understand they will tell me but more often then not they get it. So the short version is that there was peace and restoration. My pride was crushed and that was a good thing.
On another note...
My daughters started a business with a friend. The daughter of Angie (homemaker chronicle lady). They are so excited and I am too. We have talked about all kinds of wonderful things. This was an awesome intro to home school for me. With this one concept we are able to cover math, economics, design, writing, advertising...the list goes on. We will showcase their work on the blog soon. They have decided to give 5% of their profit to help child in need of educational supplies. They came up with their own percentages and organization to give to. I thought it was wonderful. They are being responsible with finances. They report to one another their income and calculate the % and proper distribution. We have really spent quality time getting this off the ground. So get ready to order from Glamour Glare Jewels by NRN Jewelers. There work is awesome!
Finally...
My husband I are working on hard core open honest communication. Oh buddy! It is hard but we have greatly benefited from it. You know when you and your husband are discussing an issue and you both conclude the conversation but it isn't truly finished. We are going beyond that point. I mean really seeing the heart of matters..whether it be pride, selfishness, or misunderstnading. God is loving us through this process and again we are better for it!
Praise the Lord for His work in my home this week!

YOU DON'T GET TO CHOOSE TO MURDER AN EMBRYO OR FETUS!
Hey people! I needed to come back and make a statement. Mainly because my blog goes out on FB too. I don't want people to see my note title and believe it is okay to abort babies at any stage of life. I am ABSOLUTELY for LIFE! My pro choice point was that individuals would think before they lay down with someone. After visiting with that young lady I was really fired up! Present in my life I am ministering to a young woman 18 pregnant with her third child out of wedlock, two young ladies 19 and 20 out of wedlock pregnant for the first time. One pregnant by a boyfriend and the other by a homey lover friend. Finally, a young woman who thinks she is pregnant with a fourth and wants to abort the child.
So I am frustrated! People think sex is fun, wonderful, and okay whenever, however, and with who ever! I am going to tell you it is not! Sex is a gift from God for one man and one woman who have committed themselves to one another in Holy Matrimony. Sex is HOLY! I don't know it people realize that because of all the distortions in our society. The fruit of sex (children) are a blessing! So my heart is broken by the way our society views sex, relationships, parenting, birth, and children. They are gifts from the GOD and we treat them like nothing! So there is my heart about pro choice, pro life issues.

WHY I AM PRO CHOICE!
Does that shock you? Well if you know me it should. I am so pro choice it is ridiculous. I spent time today with a young lady who thinks she is pregnant. She has given birth to three children, is living with the boyfriend, is not married and has no plan to get married, struggles everyday to keep her children (open CPS case) the children recently returned to her custody....she thinks she is pregnant. The boyfriend's advice was to have an abortion. She even quoted that President Obama says it is okay. Okay, so at this point I am losing it.
I shared with her that I am pro choice, but here is the catch. "You know the point when you were kissin' and huggin' and thought "I want to go all the way?"" BINGO! Your choice! I am for you making a choice at that moment! Anything that comes from two people choosing to wear married people clothes, (I would normally say big girl drawls or big boy drawls) like children is a not a choice! If you are blessed enough to be one who is with child and really did not want to be, then you should consider not opening your legs or putting your hose down the drain. Zip it, Lock it, tuck it...CHOOSE!
But don't MURDER WHAT GOD CREATED inside of you!

THE BOOK OF RUTH: Redemption through the scriptures 2
Ruth 2
Ruth Meets Boaz
1Now Naomi had a relative of her husband’s, a worthy man of the clan of Elimelech, whose name was Boaz. 2And Ruth the Moabite said to Naomi, "Let me go to the field and glean among the ears of grain after him in whose sight I shall find favor." And she said to her, "Go, my daughter." 3So she set out and went and gleaned in the field after the reapers, and she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the clan of Elimelech. 4And behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem. And he said to the reapers, "The LORD be with you!" And they answered, "The LORD bless you." 5Then Boaz said to his young man who was in charge of the reapers, "Whose young woman is this?" 6And the servant who was in charge of the reapers answered, "She is the young Moabite woman, who came back with Naomi from the country of Moab. 7She said, 'Please let me glean and gather among the sheaves after the reapers.' So she came, and she has continued from early morning until now, except for a short rest."
8Then Boaz said to Ruth, "Now, listen, my daughter, do not go to glean in another field or leave this one, but keep close to my young women. 9Let your eyes be on the field that they are reaping, and go after them. Have I not charged the young men not to touch you? And when you are thirsty, go to the vessels and drink what the young men have drawn." 10Then she fell on her face, bowing to the ground, and said to him, "Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?" 11But Boaz answered her, "All that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband has been fully told to me, and how you left your father and mother and your native land and came to a people that you did not know before. 12 The LORD repay you for what you have done, and a full reward be given you by the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge!" 13Then she said, "I have found favor in your eyes, my lord, for you have comforted me and spoken kindly to your servant, though I am not one of your servants."
